Projection, listening points, digital archives and a mobile route reconnect Torre de Moncorvo with its Jewish history.
The Center of Jewish Studies in Torre de Moncorvo preserves and shares the memory of a community whose presence shaped the region. We developed an interpretative system that moves between the exhibition, historical documents and the streets beyond it.
A video-mapped narrative uses a recurring Star of David to follow periods of belonging, persecution and forced conversion. Interactive windows reveal stories and objects, while listening points allow visitors to hear rumours and fragments of oral memory.
A digital mural transforms scanned records into an explorable archive. Instead of placing documents behind a barrier, the interface lets visitors approach names, traces and testimonies at human scale.
The Moncorvo Judaico mobile application extends the visit through contemporary and medieval maps, QR codes and audio guides. The result links scholarship and place, turning a dispersed heritage into a route that can be followed on foot.
